Occupy Wall Street: Wall Street Protests Renew Calls for State Millionaires’ Tax
    "Tax the Rich"
Make wealthy people pay more money to the government.
This quote is very valid because, a recent research by the Harvard Kennedy School on this Wall Street topic, shows that people in the society who are less fortunate are taxed more than the rich folks, who can actually afford to pay. The reason for which this happens is sometimes because the government is too afraid to go near the rich, or the rich are so greedy, they don't wish to spend their money on anything else but themselves so they pay very little of what they're supposed to pay,or because the rich know people on the inside who cut back their taxes for them. It is believed by many people, including the Harvard Kennedy School that, until those who are wealthy start paying more, the less fortunate ones will continue to suffer and be depressed.

  2. Occupy Wall St. quote: “We are the 99 percent,”
Interpretation- we are the majority. However, in this instance the quote is saying we are the majority of the population, and we are the ones that have to the most pay tax while the one percent, who are the ones who have all the money and do not pay as much tax as those of the middle and lower classes.
I believe in this quote because it states how we are the ones that have to pay the most tax where as there are big companies and firms who pay little to no tax. For example, in the media we've seen the battling between democrats and republicans about the tax reform. Some republicans are in favor of taxing the middle class, in contrast to the the democrats who thought taxing those of the higher status who really don't have that much to loose would level the playing field.

  3. "9/11 is a propaganda scam that's been very successful helping companies make money" I think this quote if false because when the World Trade Center collapsed several people was out of jobs because it was a time of depression and grieve . After some thing tragic happened do you think people who suffered from it are going to work ? I think the 9/11 made the economy worst that raised the rates of people being out of work and the un-employment rates go up , which made less people disabled to pay their debts .

  4. Quote from Occupy Wall Street," They have fanned the flame of democracy". The protesters who were outside of wall street, they started to take a liking in the form of a government powered by themselves (the people). I agree with this quote, because the protesters actually did their research before marching for something they didn't know anything about. They are protesting about the unfairness of the economy. In my opinion, their reason for protesting is very valid. The economy that we live in now, is very one sided. I say this because, they are making the wealthy people pay less taxes than the middle class and lower class. That's unfair on a lot of levels, it should be the other way around. The wealthy people pay more taxes than the middle and lower class.

  5. Quote from Occupy Wall Street, “Banks got bailed out, we got sold out!” The places where the money is kept was helped out of the situation while we, the people were betrayed. I agree with the quote. In my opinion, the banks are the ones that create debt. The banks get money from the rich or upper class, and lend it to the poor or lower class. After someone borrows money from them, they hit the unexpecting with a huge interest rate. Before long, the poor will find themselves in debt and the rich will increase the sums that they give the bank. The bank allows you to get so deep in it that they can come to take possession in order to pay them back. On the news you see where people are even evicted from their homes because they are owe the bank. It is also in the news papers; collage students cant afford to bay back their loans and they cant get a job either.
